What is the process for making an enquiry/booking?

Once I have received your enquiry, I will send you some session information. When you would like to go ahead with your booking, please ring or email me. I like to meet with clients a week or two before their portrait/family session to go over your session details, show samples of the prints that I offer, and give you my guides on prints, digitals and preparing for your photography. When your photos are ready to view, we will meet again, and you can choose any photos you would like printed.

How early do I need to book?
Family/Portraits/Events/Pets: To ensure there is time before your session to meet with you and discuss your needs, and to enable you to prepare well for your session, bookings are best made at least three weeks in advance. As soon as you’ve decided you would like to go ahead with your booking, please email me to confirm. The further ahead you book, the more likely I am to be available for your preferred day.
Aerial Photography: I prefer to do these during weekdays, and I can usually get these sessions done within a week of receiving your booking fee.

Do I need to pay anything upfront?
Yes. For most types of photography, the session fee is required in full, before your photography takes place. There are some exceptions for corporate/business photography only.

Who chooses the location for pet and family/portrait photos?
You are more than welcome to choose where your photos are taken, especially if you have a favourite place, or somewhere that has special meaning. In our pre-session meeting we will discuss the location, and if necessary, I will have a look and let you know if it’s suitable.
Alternatively, some clients have preferred that I choose the location, and occasionally (if they ask me to), I keep it a secret until the day of their session.
A beautiful park, riverfront, or garden are the most popular, but a trendy urban setting may be more your style.

Digital and online use of images
I am here to capture images for you. I love sharing photos with other people, and your family and friends will love seeing your photos online too. However, if you prefer that your photo not be shared online, that’s fine, just let me know.

Digital files
Most of my photography packages include some digital photos. If your package does not include the collection of photos, you will have the option to purchase extra high resolution digital files. The individual price depends on the type of photography session (family, pet, aerial etc). If it’s not included in your package, you will be given a price for the collection of images at a reduced ‘per photo’ price. When we meet before your session and discuss your needs, a ‘Digital Photos Guide’ will be given to you with more information.

I offer a range of products that you may have your photos printed onto. These include my Classic Print Range, with my most popular products, and my Deluxe Print Range, perfect for special photos such as family portraits, engagement photos, and weddings. Depending on the type of photography services you require, my Printed Products Guide will be given to you before your photography takes place.

Are Gift Vouchers available?
Yes. I offer vouchers for a specific type of session (family, friends, aerial, pet etc), and I offer vouchers that are non-specific, so that the receiver of the voucher can choose the photography session.

Cancellation policy
Session fees are non-refundable, but may be re-scheduled if appropriate.

Are payment plans available?
Yes, please enquiry at your pre-session meeting or when you make a booking. All session fees must be finalised before your photo session takes place. If you choose to purchase prints, or extra digital photos, 50% of the total value of your order is due at the  time of ordering, and full payment is due before your prints/digitals are delivered (if not included in your package).

What if the weather is not suitable for photos?
The quality and style of my photos is dependent on nice weather. If it’s raining, dark and heavily overcast, very windy, excessively hot/cold, or generally unpredictable, it is usually best to re-schedule your session. Occasionally, your session may need to be re-scheduled more than once when there are factors out of my control, so please be patient. It is better to wait for nice conditions and have great weather and light.

How far will you travel for photography sessions?
I am based in Berri, South Australia, and I can travel to the main Riverland towns of Loxton, Waikerie, Barmera, Berri, and Renmark at no extra charge. If you’re located outside of Riverland, please contact me for a travel quote.
